O seu corpo \u00e9 <\/span><b>forte e robusto<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, com uma express\u00e3o vivaz e movimentos \u00e1geis. \u00c9 extrovertido e corajoso, amoroso e seguro. Tal como outros terriers, tem um temperamento forte e \u00e9 inteligente, teimoso e inquieto, pelo que \u00e9 recomend\u00e1vel trein\u00e1-lo desde cachorro para poder desfrutar de um animal de estima\u00e7\u00e3o feliz e bem adaptado. \u00c9 importante ser firme com ele e fazer longas caminhadas para que possa realizar todo o exerc\u00edcio que a sua personalidade e tamanho precisa.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aspecto geral do Airedale Terrier<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O Airedale Terrier \u00e9 um c\u00e3o musculoso, ativo, bastante compacto e o seu corpo completo ajusta-se num quadrado, desde o seu perfil.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Cabe\u00e7a<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: sem rugas, cr\u00e2nio do mesmo comprimento que o focinho. Stop pouco marcado. O focinho n\u00e3o deve ter forma c\u00f4ncava nem cair demasiado diante dos olhos. Trufa preta. Mand\u00edbulas fortes e poderosas, mordida em tesoura, sem prognatismo. Olhos pequenos, escuros, n\u00e3o proeminentes, com express\u00e3o alerta e inteligente. Orelhas com forma de V, portadas lateralmente, com a linha da dobra levemente por cima da do cr\u00e2nio.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Corpo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: pesco\u00e7o musculoso, n\u00e3o muito comprido, sem papada. Costas curtas, fortes e retas. Lombo musculoso e curto. Peito profundo, mas n\u00e3o largo. Costelas bem arqueadas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;<\/span><b>Rabo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: normalmente amputado, quando est\u00e1 ereto deve ter aproximadamente a mesma altura que a cabe\u00e7a. \u00c9 de inser\u00e7\u00e3o alta e n\u00e3o deve ficar curvado sobre o dorso, quer esteja amputado ou n\u00e3o.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;<\/span><b>Extremidades<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> musculosas, bem retas e ossudas. Devem estar bem paralelas desde a parte de tr\u00e1s e da frente. P\u00e9s pequenos, redondos e compactos, com almofadas grandes e grossas. As patas traseiras s\u00e3o fortes e d\u00e3o muito impulso ao caminhar.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;<\/span><b>Pelagem: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">pelo duro, denso e cerdoso, n\u00e3o demasiado comprido. Apresenta uma capa externa bem dura e compacta e outra interna de pelo mais suave e curto. O pelo encaracolado ou suave \u00e9 muito indesej\u00e1vel. Cor: com dorso preto ou cinza escuro, tal como a parte superior do pesco\u00e7o e a parte dorsal do rabo. O restante cor do fogo. S\u00e3o aceites uns poucos pelos brancos no peito. A pelagem desta ra\u00e7a precisa de cortes de pelo peri\u00f3dicos para mant\u00ea-lo bem cuidado.
